Radiator Valves - thermostatic radiator valves, chrome valves, radiator valve wrench, radiator twin valve - all types of radiator valves and accessories are available here

For discount radiator valves press here

If you want to change your radiator valves to thermostatic radiator valves then click above for trade prices on quality brands. Whatever kind of radiator valve you are looking for (or plumbing tools to fit them - eg radiator valve wrench etc) you will find them here. Also central heating cleansers, sludge removers and boiler descalers are available. We offer top quality valves and a great choice - next day delivery too, so you don't have to wait long before fitting or changing your radiator valves.

The greatest benefit from swapping to thermostatic radiator valves is the control of heat in each radiator which usually leads to a reduction in fuel bills. New Building Regulations also require that new radiator installations are fitted with thermostatic valves on each radiator. The temperature in each room can be controlled instantly by adjusting the termostatic valve on each radiator - by turning down individual thermostatic valves you can quickly save money and fuel.

There are a variety of thermostatic valves for radiators available here - the neat, and reliable Pegler brand offer a valve for 2-pipe systems with bi-directional flow capability and valves for 15mm and 22mm pipes. They are suitable for plastic, copper or chrome pipes. There are also chrome radiator valves for towel radiators, minimalist radiator valves, bypass valves, angled radiator valves, radiator valve wheelhead, traditional radiator valves - in fact whatever kind of radiator valves you need you will find it on this site at discount prices.

If you want to change your radiator valves to fit new radiator valves - whether thermostatic valves or not - then you will be able to buy all the valves and plumbing tools need to do the job here.

Advice on radiators and changing radiator valves - common radiator problems.

When looking at your radiator's heat output, remember that you can always reduce the heat by closing the radiator's main control knob (by turning it clockwise), however you can't turn it up any higher once the knob is fully open.

If you have a cold radiator then it is probably turned off. Find the main radiator control knob at the bottom of the radiator and turn it anticlockwise to open it. If this doesn't work, remove the cover of the lockshield radiator valve at the other end of the radiator and open it (also anticlockwise) until the radiator heats up.

If your radiator is cold at the top it is caused by air getting into the system. Using a radiator key start to unscrew the air bleed screw at the top of the radiator, holding a cloth below it. You will hear a strong hissing noise as the air is released; be ready to close the screw immediately the air turns to water.

If your radiators are cold at the bottom then it is probably caused by corrosion in the system. The heating system needs to be flushed out (preferably with a proprietary cleansing agent) and then corrosion proofer should be added. You can buy all these products here - just click a link.

We sell Boiler Noise Silencer to de-scale your boiler and restore central heating efficiency - also reduces the noise which is caused by limescale build-up. If you need to clean your system then System Cleanser will remove the black oxide sludge and deposits from your central heating system. To prevent scale and corrosion then buy System Inhibitor - this will extend the life of your central heating and ensure it operates at maximum efficiency and with minimum fuel usage. People often forget or don't know about adding cleanser to remove radiator sludge or boiler descaler to their central heating system - it makes a huge difference to fuel consumption and heat output.

Good heating controls make the whole system more efficient, give more comfortable temperatures and reduce running costs. Upgrading a programmer can be a very worthwhile exercise. Fitting thermostatic radiator valves to control the temperature of individual radiators is fairly straightforward, but get advice from a plumber if you are unsure.
